Night Shots - Kampung Ayer, Brunei

Batavia - Air screwed my flights up so I missed my flight Bali - Jakarta and consequently Jakarta - KL, I had to stay the night in ‘middle of no whereNilai and catch the next afternoon flight KL to brunei… So all I got to explore was the Kampung Ayer, Brunei which was nearby by hotel. Meh. Heres some night shots. Good bye world, Back to NZ.

Beratan Lake, Bedugul, Bali

Beratan Lake is only a shallow lake, apparently the deepness point its only 22 meters. Visitors can do various water/outdoor activities like parasailing, fishing and canoeing. We just ate :-D

We paid Rp 5,000 each for these photos…pssh, everything has a price in bali.

The Mortar and Pestle Kid

Walking the streets, we saw this kid sleeping on the side on the road. It was 9:00am and obviously wasn’t going to school. The poor kid looked overworked and he picked a dangerous spot to doze off.

He was selling Mortar and Pestle, which weight easily 6 kg a set, he had 8 on him! I wonder what his quota for the day was?  It took nearly a minute for us to wake him up, I couldn’t help but to feel sorry for him

He won’t make money sleeping, but then again hes just a kid. He wouldn’t take charity so we brought a set for $18,000 rupiah ($3).We didn’t challenge his price, we just paid him.

Help! Head got caught in electric gate!

I was going for a walk down the street and heard a cat crying. The poor cat got his head caught in a electric gate! It was a real dilemma, I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t want to touch the thing…

errrr, do I touch it?

Sweet, you sorted yourself out.

Stupid Cat.
