Batu Caves

Just over 10km outside of KL you’ll find the Batu Caves, a sacred place for the Hindu’s in Malaysia. Discovered in 1892, The caves mainly consist of limestones and hungry monkeys. Its a 272 step climb to the top, so make sure you have filled up with over priced /tourist priced Roti canai at the bottom. At the top you will find peace - temples… and a souvenir shop :-D

It poured down that day and the steps were really narrow and slippery, only ancient Chinese women with binded feet would be comfortable with these stairs. I had to side step all the way down while taking photos of monkeys, MikeP would have been loving it.

At 42.m statue of the most popular Tamil Hindu deity Murugan (tallest in the world of this deity). Yup, That’s Whats up.

Should have done a rocky pose.

A souvenir shop in a fricken cave, man!

cool.
